Meet Leo! Our Emotional Support and Companionship Specialist—who also very much requires those services in return. A proudly anxious Shih Tzu, he’s wary of rain, thunder, trash cans, boxes, and anything else that catches him off guard. But when it comes to people, he’s all in. Leo is a total people dog who loves visitors, happily changes loyalties to the newest human in the room, and frequents meetings as his mom Janelle’s “secretary,” either on her lap or curled up by her side.

A well-traveled pup, Leo has adventured through Washington State, New Jersey, North Carolina, and now Texas. He’s ridden in a backpack on hikes, sniffed ocean air on the coastline, and even been on a boat—though his favorite place is still the couch, nesting in blankets and pillows. Off the clock, he tags along for dog-friendly errands, catching the wind out the window, looks forward to his lunchtime chew, is a total sucker for ice cream, and splits his affection between dad for roughhousing and his mom for maximum cuddles and cozy time.
